Join San Diego Immunization Coalition’s (SDIC) annual Spring Summit, with the theme of Celebrating Then. Now. Next. to mark SDIC’s 25th anniversary!

Immunizations are considered the most successful public health accomplishment from the last century; however, it continues to face evolving and tougher challenges today. The Summit’s focus will examine the achievements and challenges of San Diego County’s combined immunization efforts in the past, present, and future.

• Overview of Upcoming Vaccines
• Regional & Statewide Immunization Goals
• Multidisciplinary Approaches to Increase Immunizations
• SDIC's History & Impact in San Diego County

 
Special Keynote Speakers:

• Dr. Sarah Royce, Chief of the Immunization Branch of the California Dept. of Public Health who will cover statewide immunization accomplishments and objectives
• Dr. Richard Pan, the California State Senator who authored SB 277, the historic state law that requires vaccinations for school-aged children. Time Magazine dubbed him as an immunization “Hero” along the ranks of Dr. Jenner (who discovered the smallpox vaccine) and Dr. Salk (a local hero who discovered the first polio vaccine).

Two hours of CEUs are offered through the California Board of Registered Nursing. Parking is available at the large ACE lot across the street for $5/day, and SDIC is working on purchasing prepaid passes for those who qualify (info on registration page).
